BALLOON REFOLD DEVICE
Prior to surgery a balloon may accidentally become fully or partially inflated. In this instance The Balloon Refold Device allows the surgeon to rewrap the balloon on the catheter. Wrapping the balloon is important as the lowest possible profile is required for delivering the balloon to the treatment site. The Refold Device is only applicable to Balloon Catheters as the presence of the stent makes accidental unwrapping of the Balloon unlikely and access to the Balloon is not possible while the stent is present.
PROTECTIVE SHEATHS
Contech Ireland manufactures protective sheaths used for introducing a fixed-wire balloon catheter into a blood vessel.
The protective sheath comprises a proximal end, a distal end, and an elongated hollow body defining a lumen along the longitudinal axis of the protective sheath. The lumen of the protective sheath serves several functions. These include: protecting the balloon and the soft tip, accommodating movement of the guidewire, and forming a seal around it.
The smooth loading of the guidewire is facilitated by the relative dimensions of the distal and proximal portions, with the proximal portion usually having a smaller diameter and the distal portion usually having a larger diameter.
ACCESSORY POUCHES
Contech Ireland supply both Tyvek (Coated and Uncoated) and Polyethylene Accessory Pouches to many of its customers. Pouches are a secure and simple way to pack the accessories required for Cardiac and other various surgeries. Contech Ireland recognizes the importance of material choice and structure, and how these must comply with each individual companies preferred sterilisation method.
BLISTER PACKAGING
Contech Ireland offers a comprehensive blister packaging service, including rigid blister forming, loading and lidding in sequential operations, in Class 100,000 Cleanroom conditions.

Contech Ireland offers its customers the additional service of loading their product (Catheter / Guidewire) into their specific dispenser in our Class 100,000 cleanroom. CARDIOVASCULAR DISPENSERS AND ACCESSORIES
Cardiovascular dispensers are designed to contain and protect delicate medical devices such as PTCA wires, Angioplasty stents and Balloon catheters from the manufacturing process through to the Cardiovascular surgeon. This would be non-exclusive to medical devices used in cardiovascular procedures and other delicate devices.
The dispenser design varies based on customer requirements, for example vertical or horizontal format, clipped with varying tube lengths, tube diameters and multiple configurations thereof.
