AUTOMATION
Contech Ireland introduced Automation primarily to increase flexibility and convertibility in the manufacturing process. Automation technology has resulted in continued product improvement, cost efficiencies and consistent quality.

VISION SYSTEM
The introduction of a Vision System at Contech Ireland has been successful in providing absolute data. As nano-technology continues to grow a Vision System provides greater accuracy for measuring smaller components. The vision system has increased efficiencies throughout our quality department and greatly reduced incoming inspection time frames.

LEAN MANUFACTURING
The Lean Manufacturing management philosophy was adopted by Contech Ireland in the 1990’s. Lean manufacturing encourages the production of goods utilising all production areas including the human element. In conjunction with our engineering department and manufacturing partners we are able to provide outstanding services such as rapid prototyping.

SIX SIGMA
Mini-tab is the in-house tool employed by Contech Ireland to analyse the effectiveness of our processes. The implementation of this Six Sigma tools helps improve customer satisfaction by reducing defects. This methodology consists of 5 steps – “Define – Measure – Analyse – Improve – Control” to achieving quality goals.

ADHESIVE BONDING
Using the latest techniques in UV Curing, Cyanoacrylates, and dispensing mechanisms, Contech Ireland assembles similar or dissimilar materials for the production of many of its products.

HEAT BONDING
Heat Bonding is used for the assembly of many of our products such as Protective Sheaths and Stent Protectors. This involves joining heat bondable materials by the application of heat and pressure along a predetermined seam.

PRESSURE DECAY TESTING
Pressure decay testing is a method of leak detecting. Components are pressurized with air and the instrument monitors the pressure for negative changes.

TENSILE TESTING
Tensile testing is performed under a controlled environment to determine the tensile properties of a material. Tensile testing can be performed on a variety of materials including metals, plastics, elastomers, paper, composites, rubbers, fabrics, adhesives, films, etc.

BAR CODE LABELLING
Based on our customer requirements Contech Ireland provides custom specific bar code labelling for all aspects of product packaging.

FLARING
Based on customer requirements both hot and cold tube flaring is a service offered by Contech Ireland. The most common functions of flared tubing are to provide easy loading of products, to protect the medical device, act as a connecting fitting, and more.
